AN AMAZING TRIP WITH TAFARI SAFARIS IN UGANDA
Every time I go or am in Uganda, I take a trip with Tafari Safaris! So, of course I was thrilled to embark on yet another adventure with this amazing tourism company. This time, we were headed to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Uganda.
Our journey began with a long drive from Kampala to the park, passing through small towns and villages that gave us a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of Kampala. The scenery was breathtaking, and we knew we were heading towards even more stunning scenes in our beautiful country of Uganda. Upon our arrival at the park, we were welcomed by a group of friendly staff from Tafari Safaris who showed us around the campsite. We are always impressed by the small cabins and tents they set up for us. They are simple, yet cozy and provide all the amenities we could need while camping, even showers!
The Tafari Kitchen, a mobile and outdoor kitchen, provided us with delicious meals throughout our stay. It was impressive to see how they could whip up such amazing dishes in the middle of the wilderness. They specialized in duck and rabbit during this trip and the chef, Jamila, was amazing! Camping at the national park for three nights was a remarkable experience that allowed us to connect with nature on a deeper level. We fell asleep to the sound of animals and woke up to stunning sunrises over the savannah. The small cabins and tents provided by Tafari Safaris were comfortable and perfect for a night’s rest.
One of the highlights of our trip was the boat ride on the Nile River, where we saw various animals like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and buffalos. It was an incredible experience to see these animals in their natural habitat. Our guide was knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting facts about the animals we encountered.
GAME DRIVE ON A TRIP WITH TAFARI SAFARIS
We also went on a daytime game drive and an evening game drive, where we saw lions, elephants, warthogs, water bucks, and many other animals. The game drives were led by experienced guides who had a wealth of knowledge about the park’s history and the animals we encountered. It was fascinating to learn about the different animal behaviors and how they interact with each other in the wild. One of the most unforgettable experiences was the hike to the top of the Murchison Falls. The view from the top was simply awe-inspiring. We could see the Nile River as it flowed through the park, surrounded by lush vegetation and dotted with various animals like hippos, crocodiles, and elephants. It was truly a sight to behold.
The waterfall itself was an incredible sight, as water gushed through a narrow gorge before plummeting over 40 meters to the rocks below. We were amazed by the sheer force of the water and the thunderous sound it made.
During our stay, we also had the opportunity to go bird watching. Uganda is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 1,000 species of birds. We saw various species of birds like the African fish eagle, the pied kingfisher, and the red-throated bee-eater. It was a pleasure to see these colorful and unique birds up close. We also got to witness the wonderful job that the Uganda Wildlife Authority is doing with national parks in Uganda. The park was well-maintained, and the animals were thriving.
Overall, our safari trip with Tafari Safaris was an unforgettable adventure. From the cozy cabins and tents to the delicious meals and exceptional service, everything was top-notch. I would highly recommend Tafari Safaris to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable safari experience anywhere in East Africa and beyond!
