ARRIVAL: ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Depending on where you will will be traveling from, our professional drivers and tour guide shall pick you up from Entebbe International Airport, the largest airport in Uganda. From there, we will drive you to your hotel for the night, ensuring a comfortable stay before the safari adventure begins the next day. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

DAY 1: DRIVE TO MURCHISON FALLS VIA ZZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY

After enjoying breakfast at 7 am, you’ll journey to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This sanctuary serves as a vital breeding ground for rhinoceroses, which were once extinct in the Ugandan wilderness and are now being prepared for reintroduction into national parks. Upon reaching the sanctuary, a knowledgeable guide and armed rangers will lead you on either a walking or vehicle safari to seek out the rhinos. Once spotted, you’ll have the opportunity to observe them for a while before indulging in a bush picnic lunch amidst the sanctuary’s scenic surroundings. Following lunch, you’ll return to your vehicle to continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll check in at Fort Murchison Lodge for your overnight accommodation.

DAY 2: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT SAFARI TO BOTTOM OF FALLS

Set out at 6 am for an exhilarating game drive, capturing the stunning sunrise over the expansive savannah landscape. As you traverse the area, you’ll marvel at the diverse birdlife, woodland scenery, and lush riverine vegetation along the Nile, while encountering a plethora of wildlife including lions, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge between 10-11 am for a hearty breakfast, followed by some relaxation time until lunch. After lunch at 2 pm, embark on a thrilling boat launch to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls. This 3-hour cruise culminates at the foot of the Rift Valley escarpment, where you’ll disembark and trek to the summit of the falls (be sure to wear sports shoes for ease of trekking). Upon reaching the top, immerse yourself in the refreshing mist created by the Nile’s powerful surge through the 7-meter cleft, forming the iconic Murchison Falls. Your guide will then escort you back to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

DAY 3: TRANSFER BACK TO ENTEBBE & DEPARTURE

Take your time waking up today and indulge in a leisurely breakfast. Spend some relaxing moments in the serene ambiance of the lodge before checking out at 10 am. Your journey back to Kampala begins, with a delightful lunch stop in Masindi along the way. Arriving in Kampala during the early evening, you’ll proceed directly to Entebbe International Airport for your departure. Our team will ensure you reach the airport in ample time to catch your flight.
