Continue your expedition to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where a tapestry of wildlife awaits. Conclude your safari in Kibale, a haven for primate enthusiasts. ARRIVAL: ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Depending on where you will will be traveling from, our professional drivers and tour guide shall pick you up from Entebbe International Airport, the largest airport in Uganda. From there, we will drive you to your hotel for the night, ensuring a comfortable stay before the safari adventure begins the next day. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

 

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Our driver-guide will meet you in Entebbe at 7:00 am, and you’ll head west to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way, you’ll stop at the Mpambire drum makers’ center and the Equator for photographs. Continuing via Mbarara town, you’ll enjoy the stunning landscapes and rolling hills with terraces. Upon arriving at the park, check in at Rushaga Gorilla Camp, where you can relax for the evening in preparation for the next day’s adventure.

DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING AND BATWA TRAIL AT BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Have breakfast at 6:30 am and then transfer with a packed lunch to the park headquarters. There, you will be briefed by professional park rangers. By 8:00 am, you’ll enter the misty forest with the rangers to trek mountain gorillas. If needed, you can use a walking stick or hire porters to carry your luggage for a small fee. Trekking can take between 2 and 8 hours. Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll have 1 hour to spend with them.After trekking, return to the lodge to unwind. Later in the evening, take a walk to visit various communities, including the Batwa community, where you can interact and learn from them. Afterward, return to the lodge.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH WHILE TRACKING TREE CLIMBING LIONS AT ISHASHA

Enjoy your breakfast, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha Sector, which is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. The park is home to a variety of wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and lions, among others. Upon arrival, have lunch at the lodge and then embark on a late afternoon game drive to observe the diverse animals and birds. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

DAY 4: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK-GUIDED GAME DRIVE & BOAT CRUISE

Today, you will start your day very early with breakfast at 6:00 am, followed by an immediate start to the game drive. An early start increases your chances of seeing morning risers such as lions, solitary buffaloes, kobs, and elephants up close. This is a thrilling experience as the animals are more active and visible in the early hours. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel is home to a variety of bird species such as malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans, as well as animals like crocodiles, elephants, and hippos. Cruising on the Kazinga Channel is one of the most captivating activities in the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 5: MORNING GAME DRIVE & VISIT TO BABOON CLIFF + DEPARTURE TO KIBALE

Enjoy a tasty breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive. You’ll also visit the Baboon Cliff, where you’ll be introduced to amazing and beautiful sceneries. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch. Once refreshed, embark on your journey to Kibale Forest National Park, home to chimpanzees. The drive will take approximately 2 to 3 hours. Upon arrival in the evening, check in at your lodge, have dinner, and relax for the night.

DAY 6: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING & TRANSFER TO KAMPALA

This will be an amazing day! Start with an early breakfast and leave the lodge for the park headquarters, bringing along enough bottled drinking water. There, you’ll be briefed about chimpanzee trekking. Around 8:00 am, embark on a guided trek through the forest with an armed park ranger. The experience of spending time with chimpanzees in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. Along the way, you’ll also encounter other primates such as golden monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoests monkeys, and bush babies, as well as a variety of bird species.

After the trek, leave the park and drive to Kampala via Mubende, enjoying the beautiful scenic views along the way. Stop in Mubende for lunch before continuing to Kampala. Your driver-guide will either drop you off at your accommodation in Kampala or take you to the airport in Entebbe.
